Christmas walk together on Tuesday December 28th at 6 pm

Dear Friends,

We hope you have received the Christmas card well. As promised, here is some specific information.

To ensure that everything runs safely, we will be taking a Christmas walk together on Tuesday December 28th at 6 pm, musically accompanied by the Oosterlo brass band.

This means that we will walk together from house to house. We start at the Blomme-House at 6 pm. The residents, staff and family are musically invited to join the walk.  We stop at each house, invite the housemates and sing one or two Christmas carols. The intention is to wait outside at all times to preserve the peacefulness of the home. People who are not attached to a house join the procession at a house of their preference or wait in the garden of the Villa. The walk ends at the church in Oosterlo where we will sing and reflect together one last time. Depending on the circumstances this will take place in or near the church. After this everyone returns home.

The route to be taken with the programme:

6 pm (start)  Blomme-House :         Silent Night + Ding Dong, Merrily on High

6.10 pm  Holle-House :                      Gloria in Exelsis Deo + We Wish You A Merry Christmas

6.20 pm  Zonne House :                    Jingle Bells + Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

6.30 pm Atelier Pension / Opmaat  Feliz Navidad

6.40 pm  Garden Villa :                      Silent Night + The Little Drummer Boy

7 pm (end) Church Oosterlo             Silent Moment  Lullaby + We Wish You A Merry Christmas

Although the rehearsals of the Betties could not take place due to the current circumstances, we regularly play these songs in all the houses so that all the residents get to know them and can sing along. These songs can also be found on Youtube for those who like to prepare themselves.

The theme of the Christmas walk is solidarity and togetherness with each other and with the bigger world. We therefore look forward to strolling and singing together with you. This way we hope to be a beacon of light in these darker times.

May we remind you that wearing a mouth mask during the entire walk is mandatory.

With great thanks to the brass band ‘De Eéndracht’, the Betties and all of you, we send you warm greetings on behalf of all the people from Huis Perrekes.
